Women’s Basketball Receives NCAA Public Recognition Award

JERSEY CITY, NJ – The Saint Peter's women's basketball team received recognition by the NCAA for its multiyear Academic Progress Rate (APR). The honor is bestowed on teams with an NCAA Division I Academic Progress Rate in the top 10 percent of all squads in their respective sports in the Academic Year.

The Peacocks women's basketball team had six student-athletes earn MAAC All-Academic honors in 2017-18. This is the 22nd time a team from Saint Peter's has received the recognition and the team becomes the eighth Saint Peter's program to earn the honor.

The most recent multiyear rates are based on scores from the 2013-14, 2014-15, 2015-16, and 2016-17 academic years. This is the 13th year of the NCAA Public Recognition program with the inaugural year being 2004-05.

Multiyear APRs for all Division I sports teams, including the teams receiving public recognition, will be announced May 23.
