Saint Peter's Baseball Moves Three-Game Set Against Fairfield To Caven Point In Jersey City On Sunday And Monday
JERSEY CITY, N.J. – The Saint Peter's baseball three-game series against Fairfield, originally scheduled for Saturday and Sunday at Jaroschak Field in Jersey City, has been moved to Sunday and Monday. All three games will be played at Caven Point in Jersey City and both days first pitch is slated for 3 p.m.
Caven Point is located at 1 Caven Point Road, Jersey City, NJ 07305.
In the first game, Saint Peter's and Fairfield will play a nine-inning game on Sunday at 3 p.m. with right-hander Zach Hopf (Woodbridge, N.J./Woodbridge Township) taking the hill for the Peacocks and right-hander EJ Ashworth on the mound for the Stags. At the conclusion of the first game, the two teams will play a 7-inning affair with Mark Wilson (Clark, N.J./Arthur L. Johnson) pitted against Aaron Howell. The two teams will then battle in the final game of the series on Monday at 3 p.m. with John Leiter (Toms River, N.J./Toms River South) facing Mike Wallace in the final game of the series.
Saint Peter's took two of three last year at Fairfield, including rallying from a 7-2 deficit in the ninth for an 11-7 victory in the rubber match contest.
The Peacocks are coming off an 11-3 loss at Seton Hall on Thursday while the Stags are coming off an 8-5 loss at Hartford on Thursday.
