Baseball Falls in Saturday’s Series at Rider

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – The Saint Peter's baseball team was defeated in both games on Saturday to Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) rival Rider. The Peacocks dropped game one, 9-2 and game two, 17-7.

 

Game 1

Five Peacocks logged a hit in the game for the Peacocks. Hunter Mason (Marlton, NJ / Cherokee), Anthony Ramos (North Bergen, NJ / North Bergen), Nick Ciocco (Cherry Hill, NJ / Cherry Hill), Peter Ferony (West Milford, NJ / West Milford), and Tom Campo (Pine Beach, NJ / Toms River South) each recorded hits. Ciocco and Campo had one RBI each and runs were scored by Ramos and Jesse Matos (Bayonne, NJ / Marist).

 

Game 2

The Peacocks had RBIs recorded by Cole Robbins (Toms River, NJ / Toms River East), Ciocco, Jared Quintero (Paterson, NJ / Passaic County Tech HS), Ferony, and Eric Mercado (Bronx, NY / All Hallows). Runs were scored by Mason, Ciocco, Quintero, Angel Perez (Jersey City, NJ / Marist HS), Matos, Ferony, and Mercado.

 

The Peacocks travel to Wagner on Tuesday, April 17 with first pitch at 3 p.m. On Wednesday, April 18 the Peacocks return home to host NJIT with a start time of 3 p.m.
