Men's Golf Results at the Hawk Invitational

DEAL, NJ  - The Saint Peter's University men's golf team finished the Hawk Invitational in fifth place with a final score of (303, +19). Jeffrey Peters (74, +3) led the Peacocks in the invitational finishing the tournament tied for 10th place.  


"I was a good day, but everyone got off to a bad start and never rebounded," said Nick Dilio.


David Powers followed Peters shooting (75, +4), Mike Winter and Stanley Garrant finished with a score of (77, +6). Jose Cardona shot a (79, +8) and Mike Stewart shot a (80, +9).


Fairleigh Dickinson finished as the team champion with a score of (292, +8). Rider finished in second place with a score (294, +10) while Manhattan and Monmouth tied for third place shooting a (299, +15). Wagner tied with Saint Peter's with a final score of (303,+19).


"We will take what we learned today, move on, and look forward to playing better in our next event" added Dilio.


The Peacocks will compete in the Metropolitan Intercollegiate Golf Tournament at the Montclair Golf Club on October 16 and 17 in West Orange, NJ.
