HAMDEN, CT – Freshman forward, Dominic Laws, scored his third goal of the year during men's soccer final game of the 2017 campaign on Wednesday afternoon at Quinnipiac University, resulting in a 4-1 defeat.
The Peacock starting keeper, Robbie Anderson made three saves in goal for Saint Peter's on the day, ending his freshman season with 71 total saves. Offensively, the team was led by Ezequiel Cei who logged four shots, followed by Laws' two shots and one goal. Freshman, Anton Moore logged one assist for the Peacocks in the contest as well.
Quinnipiac scored two goals in each half of the game for four total goals. The Bobcats had three tallies from Rashawn Dally (1', 16', 68'), and got there fourth goal from Max Rothenbuecher (60').
The Peacocks conclude the season with a 3-11-2 overall mark and a 2-8 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) record. Closing out their careers in Jersey City are Gabrielle Bandelli, Justin Bergman, Cei, Michael Crentsil, Davis Hocking, Santiago Mateus, Chris Rodrigues, and Andrew Romero.
Leading the Peacocks this season was freshman Jordan Jowers with a team-best, 16 points, from eight goals. Following Jowers was team assists leader, Cei, who handed out seven assists for seven points on the season. Laws and Mateus each tallied six points. Laws by way of three goals and Mateus by way of two goals and two assists. Bandelli followed the duo with two goals and one assist for a five-point total, while Romero recorded one goal and one assist for three points. Tom Coulson, Crentsil, and Rodrigues each registered two points and Bergman, Rodrigo DaSilva, Moore, and Steven Parry all logged one point during the year.
