Wagner Sweeps Men’s Tennis

STATEN ISLAND, NY – Wagner swept Saint Peter's in a men's tennis match on Sunday afternoon.

Anatoily Lashkul and Daler Sandy defeated Saint Peter's Jorge Rodriguez and Ivan Knezevic at No. 1 doubles, 6-2; Charlton Boyd and Ilya Kneppelhout beat Andres-Sebastian Rojas and Douglas Nover, 6-1 in No. 2 doubles; and Gabe Russotto and Cuong Lam of Saint Peter's fell to Eric Poland and Hans Ohrner, 7-6 (7-4) at No. 3 doubles.

Sandy defeated Rodriuez at No. 1 singles, 7-6 (7-3), 6-2. Rojas fell to Poland in three sets 4-6, 6-4, 6-1 at No. 2 singles. Kneppelhout topped Knezevic 6-3, 6-4 at No. 3 singles. Nover dropped No. 4 singles to Siddharth Anand, 6-1, 6-0. Ohrner defeated Jonathon Paredes, 6-2, 6-3 at No. 5 singles. Boyd was victorious over Russotto in No. 6 singles, 6-0, 6-4.

Saint Peter's heads to the Hofstra Invitational from September 23-25.
