Drexel Sweeps Men's Tennis in Saturday Meeting

PHILADELPHIA, PA - The Saint Peter's men's tennis team was defeated by the Drexel Dragons, 7-0 on Saturday afternoon.

 

Results - The Peacocks lost the doubles point. Andres-Sebastian Rojas and Douglas Nover fell at No. 1 to Sinan Orhon and Kashyap Ashok, 1-6. Gabriel Russotto and Ivan Knezevic lost at No.2, 3-6, to Balaji Lakshmanan and Alex Zenonos. At No. 3, Jonathan Paredes and Justin Sinprasith was defeated by Daniil Ginzburg and Vuk Subotic by a score of 2-6. The Peacocks fell to the Dragons in all the singles matches. Knezevic, No. 1, lost to Lakshmanan,1-6, 3-6. At No. 2, Rojas lost 1-6, 1-6 to Zenonos. Nover fell to Youssef Lahlou at No. 3, 2-6,1-6. Russotto was on the losing end at No. 4 against Ginzburg, 1-6, 3-6. Ashok defeated Paredes 1-6, 1-6 at No. 5. Sinprasith was defeated at No. 6 by Subotic 0-6, 0-6.

 

Up Next - The men's team, along with the women's team, will head up to Latham, NY for a match against the Saints of Siena on Sunday, March 19 at 1pm.
