Men's Tennis Lose Home Match to Fairfield

JERSEY CITY, NJ - The Saint Peter's men's tennis team was defeated by Fairfield University at home, 7-0, on Saturday.


Results - The Peacocks lost the doubles point. At No. 1, Ivan Knezevic and Jonathan Paredes lost a tough one against Anthony Caputo and Brad Orban, 6-4. Douglas Nover and Gabriel Russotto were dropped at No. 2, 6-3, against Jeffrey Rodgers and Tyler Shibles. Cuong Lam and Justin Sinprasith were defeated by Ethan Ammon and Dylan Appel, 6-1, at No. 3. Top singles flight, Knezevic, was dropped by Orban, 6-0, 6-3. Nover, No. 2, was defeated, 6-0, 6-0, by Caputo. At No. 3, Russotto fell against Rodgers, 6-3, 6-1. Lam, No. 4, lost against Ammon, 6-1, 6-0. Paredes lost, 6-2, 6-4, to Appel at No. 5. Sinprasith was defeated by a 6-0, 6-0 decision at the lowest singles flight against Shibles.


Up Next - The men's tennis team returns to the court and MAAC action away from the Yanitelli Recreational Life Center Bubble at Rider University on Saturday, April 1. Match time, in conjunction with the women's team, is set to begin at noon.
