NEW ROCHELLE, NY - The Saint Peter's softball team dropped Saturday's Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) doubleheader to the Iona Gaels. The Peacocks dropped the first game 8-1 and lost the second game 1-0.

"We held our ground and got some momentum back that we were able to carry into the second game. We got a great outing out of Sydney Ramsey again, unfortunately it was not enough but we are playing really good softball."

In the top of the the fifth, the bases were loaded and Hutchinson was hit by a pitch which allowed Feoli to score from third base. The Peacocks dropped the game to the Gaels 8-1.
The Peacocks started Sydney Ramsey who pitch six innings for the team allowing two hits and one run. The score was 0-0 until the Gaels scored a run in the bottom of the fourth. The Peacocks were unable to score and the Gaels won 1-0.
The Peacocks will play non-conference opponent Columbia on Tuesday, April 4. The game is scheduled to start at 4 p.m.
