CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Saint Peter's 400-medley relay team finished third to pace the Peacocks men's and women's swimming team at the ECAC Championships on Friday.
Facundo Monteiro Kempf (Buenos Aires, Argentina/Escuela de Educacion), Lovro Bilonic (Split, Croatia), Valerijs Lebedevs (Riga, Latvia) and Peter Jimenez (Bayonne, N.J./St. Peter's Prep) teamed up to finish third in the 400-medley relay with a time of 3:19.20 to earn 32 points for Saint Peter's.
This marks the first event since Bilonic was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Most Outstanding Swimming at the MAAC Swimming & Diving Championships and head coach Mohamed Abdelaai was selected as the Men's Swimming Coach of the Year on Feb. 16.
The Saint Peter's men's and women's swimming teams return to action for the second day of the ECAC Swimming & Diving Championships on Saturday. Teams will compete in the 3-meter dive, 200-medley relay, 400 IM, 100 fly, 200 free, 100 breast, 100 back and the 800-free relay. Preliminaries begin at 10 a.m. and finals start at 6 p.m.
