Series History with Niagara
The Peacocks and the Purple Eagles will be meeting for the 25th time in their series history dating back to 1993 when Niagara joined the conference. The Peacocks trail the Purple Eagles 6-18 all-time. Niagara has taken the last seven meetings from the Peacocks, with the Peacocks last winning in 2-0 back in 2009 in Jersey City.

Niagara Scouting Report
Niagara comes to New Jersey holding a 1-1 MAAC record and a 5-3-1 overall record. The Purple Eagles lost 2-0 in their MAAC opener to Monmouth, then defeated Manhattan 2-0 in their last contest to improve to .500 in conference play. Eva Bachmann leads Niagara with two goals and two assists for a team best, six points. Three other players have tallied five points on the season just behind Bachmann.

MAAC Player of the Week
Barbara Paiva earned MAAC Offensive Player of the Week honors for the week of September 11 after amassing three goals and one assist for seven total points. Paiva's three goals and seven total points were more than any other MAAC player had on the week, leading to her first career weekly award.
Looking Back at 2016
Saint Peter's ended the 2016 season with a 1-13-2 overall record and a 0-9-1 record in the MAAC. The Peacocks earned a league point for the first time in over two years last season with its draw with Fairfield and the team took playoff qualifying Canisius to overtime on senior day. Saint Peter's also gave up 34 less goals in 2016 compared to 2015, cutting its average goals allowed per game from 4.64 in 2015 to 2.81 in 2016.
Looking Forward to 2017
The Peacocks only lost three seniors from the 2016 squad and the team returns 13 players from last year's roster. Returning starters include Taylor McLean, Alyssa Conanan, Brooke Trotta, Mia Greene, Olivia Nazzaro, Alexandria Couto, Aleena Cruz, Victoria Babcock, and Kelsey Nugent.
Head coach Melissa Sherwood added six new student-athletes to the 2017 team. Nazae Craw, Isabel Fernandez, Carlee Gonzalez, Rachel Ingram, Elizabeth Pacillo, and Victoria Scarratt joined the lineup for the fall.
