JERSEY CITY, NJ - The Saint Peter's University women's tennis team fell to in-state foe, Fairleigh Dickinson University, 6-1 on Tuesday. The match was relocated to the Yanitelli Recreational Life Center Bubble due to the rain.
Results - The Peacocks lost the doubles point. The No. 1 doubles of Lucia Radovic and Malieva Hedberg fell to Marta Ruszczynska and Shreya Pasricha, 6-1. Claudia Hellman and Elena Melian Puigventos lost at No. 2, 6-2, against Tatiana Eftenoiu and Liza Rachenko. Stephanie Falcon and Aidah Muhammad fought hard but fell short, 7-5, at No. 3 doubles against Sabrina Helm and Patricia Eftenoiu. Radovic dropped a 6-2, 6-4 decision to Pasricha at No. 1 singles. Puigventos (No. 2), Hedberg (No. 3), and Falcon (No. 5) lost by identical scores to Pasricha, Tatiana Eftenoiu, and Patricia Eftenoiu, respectively, 6-1, 6-0. Rachenko defeated Hellman, 6-2, 6-1 at No. 4. Christian Resurreccion did pull out the lone win by defeating Helm in an eight-game set, 8-1, at No. 6. This is her second consecutive year with a dual match singles win against the Knights and specifically, Sabrina Helm.
