JERSEY CITY, NJ - After a postponed MAAC match against Rider University on Saturday, the Saint Peter's University women's tennis team gathers for a trip to Poughkeepsie, NY for a conference match against Marist College on Sunday, April 2. First serve is set for 11am.
Last Time Out - The women's team fell to in-state foe Fairleigh Dickinson University, 6-1, with Christian Resurreccion winning at No. 6 singles for the lone point this past Tuesday. The women's team fells to an overall record of 2-14 and a 0-4 record in MAAC matches.
History - The women's team fell to Marist last year, 7-0, on January 31, 2016. The last time Saint Peter's was able to pull out a point against the Red Foxes was on February 25, 2012. They were able to win two matches at No. 1 and No. 5 singles.
Scouting - The Red Foxes sport a 5-3 overall record and an undefeated conference record at 2-0. Marist College's sophomore Chloe Lant was named MAAC Player of the Week on February 8th. The team was picked to finish third in the MAAC Preseason Poll.
Up Next - The Saint Peter's University women's tennis team continues their road match streak by travelling to Hofstra University next Sunday, April 9. First serve against the Pride is set to be hit at 3:00pm.
