JERSEY CITY, NJ - The Saint Peter's University women's tennis team will have their first dual match of the season on Sunday, October 8, in Staten Island against Wagner College. First serve is set to be hit at 1:00pm.
Scouting Report - The Seahawks are 1-0 with their win coming against MAAC foe, Monmouth University. They also were represented at the Hofstra Invitational where they owned all four players on the court in the "B" Doubles Consolation Final.
History - Last season, the Peacocks fell twice by identical scores of 6-1 to Wagner. Alumni Lucia Radovic was the lone Peacock to get the point on the board by winning at No. 2 and No. 1 singles, respectively. She also teamed with classmate, Malieva Hedberg, to win at No. 1 doubles both times. The last time the Peacocks defeated Wagner College was on March 25, 2013 by a score of 5-2.
Last Time Out - The Peacocks participated at the Hofstra Invitational. Freshman Marta Ortega got the only win during the two day tournament.
Up Next - The women's tennis team, along with the men's tennis team, will travel to Hamden, Connecticut for a MAAC match with Quinnipiac University on October 14 at noon.
